The 2006 USENIX/ACCURATE Electronic Voting Technology (EVT) workshop brought together researchers from a variety of disciplines, ranging from computer science and human factors experts through political scientists, legal experts, election administrators, and voting equipment vendors. The workshop format emphasized questions and answers for the papers as well as discussion among the participants. Attendance at the workshop was open to the public, although speakers and presentations were by invitation only.

EVT '06 was co-located with the 15th USENIX Security Symposium (Security '06), July 31–August 4, 2006.
