Don't miss the cool new ideas and the latest preliminary research on display at the Poster Session & Happy Hour. Take part in discussions with your colleagues over complimentary drinks and hors d'oeuvres.

Reception at the Aquarium
Friday, June 2, 8:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.

Get up close and personal with the fishes at the Conference Reception held at the New England Aquarium. Mingle with colleagues, enjoy dessert, and check out the giant sea turtles, penguins, and other fascinating aquatic wildlife.

Your registration fee covers one admission ticket. If you will not be attending the event, please donate your ticket to another person by returning it to the Membership Booth.

Please note: Attendees must present their reception admission ticket in order to board the bus. Buses will depart from the hotel lobby beginning at 7:30 p.m. and will be on a continuous loop to the aquarium and back to the hotel until the end of the event.

Birds-of-a-Feather Sessions (BoFs)
Tuesday, May 30–Friday, June 2, evening

Birds-of-a-Feather sessions (BoFs) are informal gatherings organized by attendees interested in a particular topic. BoFs will be held in the evening. Click here to view the current BoF schedule and for scheduling instructions.

USENIX Auction: Lions' Commentary on UNIX
A copy of John Lions' book Lions' Commentary on UNIX, signed by Dennis Ritchie, Ken Thompson, Kirk McKusick, Eric Allman, Peter Salus, and Linus Torvalds, is available for auction at eBay beginning June 1, 2006, at 9:00 a.m. EDT. The price of the book, local taxes (if any), shipping, and eBay fees will be deducted from the winning bid, but all of the money above that in the auction is a contribution to the Fund to Establish the John Lions Chair in Operating Systems at the University of New South Wales. USENIX '06 Bookstore: Quantum Books
Quantum Books, located in the Atrium on the 4th floor, has copies of all our speakers' books for sale at discounts of up to 30%. The bookstore will also feature the latest noteworthy books from publishers such as Addison-Wesley, O'Reilly, No Starch Press, and Prentice Hall.
