Dear Colleague,

Internet technologies and systems continue to grow in importance, both as topics within computer science and as forces affecting our everyday lives. Robustness and security have become critical issues, yet remain elusive. New systems, such as peer-to-peer networks, have recently toppled the Web as the leading consumer of backbone bandwidth. Dynamic content continues to be on the rise, affecting how we design Web servers and content distribution middleware.

Stay ahead of the latest research on these, and other topics by attending the 4th USENIX Symposium on Internet Technologies and Systems, USITS '03.

USITS '03 features keynote speaker David Culler of the University of California, Berkeley, and Intel Research, who has been investigating Internet systems at the extremes (including the extremely small, with sensor networks, and the extremely large, with the PlanetLab global-scale experimentation and deployment testbed). USITS '03 will also include an invited talk by Michael Luby, CTO of Digital Fountain, Inc.

In the technical track, learn from 19 high-quality papers by leading researchers in both academia and industry. The Work-in-Progress reports will give you a preview of next year's results and offer the opportunity to get feedback on early work of your own. The evening Birds-of-a-Feather sessions provide a great venue for informal discussions with colleagues who share similar interests.
