SERVICES

Internet Access

USENIX is pleased to offer a free, open, insecure wireless network. There are two SSIDs: usenix-802.11A and usenix-802.11BG. "usenix-802.11A" should be chosen over "usenix-80211BG" where available. Wired connections are available in the Laptop Lounge. The self-registration computers and print station computers are available for general use when not needed for their primary purpose. The wired and wireless networks provided by USENIX at this conference are for the use of conference attendees only, subject to the following conditions:

  • USENIX may monitor these networks.
  • Any illicit or intrusive use of the network, including packet sniffing, is expressly forbidden.
  • The wireless network is open and insecure. USENIX strongly recommends that all users encrypt their transmissions. Users are solely responsible for the security of their passwords and data.

If you have any questions or concerns about the use of these networks, please contact any USENIX staff or Board member immediately.

Laptop Lounge

The Laptop Lounge in the Atlas Foyer offers switched Ethernet connections, power, and a place to work. It is open around the clock for your convenience.

Print on Demand

In our efforts to green this meeting, we have provided you with conference materials in electronic form. There are several print stations in the Laptop Lounge, should you prefer to print some conference materials.

Power Outlets

Power strips will be available in the tutorials and technical sessions.

Message/Jobs Board

Use the board to connect with other attendees or post open positions.

Bulletin Boards/Vendor Materials

Bulletin boards in the registration area hold messages for attendees, the latest schedule of Birds-of-a-Feather sessions, and postings of job opportunities. You can pick up information on products, services, and special offers from the literature tables in the Atlas Foyer.
