Round Table Q&A with Speakers

Spend extra time with the conference speakers in an informal and extended setting. Held in the Royal Palm Court area, the Round Table Q&A with Speakers is set up for you to join that day's morning speakers during lunch* or afternoon speakers after the last session on Wednesday and Thursday and during the afternoon break on Friday. Sign-up sheets are located in the registration area next to the BoF boards. Seating is limited, so sign up early each day.

LISA Game Show

Closing out this year's conference, the LISA Game Show will once again pit attendees against each other in a test of technical knowledge and cultural trivia. Host Rob Kolstad and sidekick Dan Klein will provide the questions and color commentary for this always memorable event.

Work-in-Progress Reports (WiPs)

Short, pithy, and fun, Work-in-Progress reports introduce interesting new or ongoing work. If you have work you would like to share or a cool idea that's not quite ready for publication, send a one- or two-paragraph summary to lisa03wips@usenix.org. We are particularly interested in presenting students' work. A schedule of presentations will be posted at the conference, and the speakers will be notified in advance. Work-in-Progress reports are five-minute presentations; the time limit will be strictly enforced.

The always popular evening Birds-of-a-Feather sessions are very informal gatherings of persons interested in a particular topic. BoFs may be scheduled during the conference at the registration desk or in advance by contacting bofs@usenix.org. BoFs are open to all attendees. Topics and schedule will be posted near the registration desk at the conference.

SAGE Certification Exams

General Examination: Wednesday, October 29, 12:30 p.m.–2:00 p.m.
UNIX Examination: Thursday, October 30, 12:30 p.m.–2:00 p.m.
SAGE is proud to announce the administration of both the general and the UNIX-specific cSAGE certification exams at LISA '03. The 125-question general exam will be offered on Wednesday and the 58-question UNIX examination will be offered on Thursday. Cost for the exams at LISA is extremely discounted: $50 for one exam, $75 for two exams. Pay at the membership booth.
