GENERAL TRACK CALL FOR PAPERSHOW TO SUBMIT
Authors are required to submit full papers by Tuesday, December 16,
2003, 11:59 p.m. EST. This is a hard deadline; absolutely no extensions will be given.
All submissions for USENIX '04 will be electronic, in PostScript or
PDF format, via this Web form. Authors will
be notified of receipt of submission via email. If notification has
not been received by Saturday, December 20, 2003, please contact usenix04chairs@usenix.org.
Submitted papers must be no longer than 14 single-spaced pages,
including figures, tables, and references, using 10 point font or
larger. The first page of the paper should include the paper title
and author name(s); reviewing is not blind. Papers longer than 14
pages will not be reviewed. Papers so short as to be considered
extended abstracts will not receive full consideration. Specific
questions about submissions may be sent to usenix04chairs@usenix.org.
In a good paper, the authors will have:
- attacked a significant problem
- devised an interesting and practical solution
- clearly described what they have and have not implemented
- demonstrated the benefits of their solution
- articulated the advances beyond previous work
- drawn appropriate conclusions
The USENIX Annual Technical Conference, like most conferences and
journals, requires that papers not be submitted simultaneously to more
than one conference or publication, that submitted papers not be
previously published elsewhere, and that accepted papers not be
subsequently published elsewhere for a year from the date of acceptance by
USENIX. Papers submitted to this conference that are under review
elsewhere will not be considered. Papers accompanied by non-disclosure-agreement forms cannot be accepted. All submissions are held in the
highest confidentiality prior to publication in the Proceedings, both
as a matter of policy and in accord with the U.S. Copyright Act of
1976.
Authors will be notified of paper acceptance or rejection by February
4, 2004. Accepted papers will be shepherded by a program committee
member. Final papers must be no longer than 14 pages, formatted in 2 columns, using 10 point Times Roman type on 12 point leading, in a text block of 6.5" by 9".
Note regarding registration:
One author per paper may take a registration discount of $200. If the registration fee poses a hardship to the presenter, USENIX can offer a complimentary registration.
