Charity Telethon Supported by Tcl/Tk

Abstract
A set of Tcl/Tk Version 8 scripts supports a telethon that
raises money for needy families. This paper describes the system and how it was
constructed. Because the system uses nearly every major feature of the Tcl and Tk system,
including the Tcl web server, this paper serves as an example that emphasizes the power of
universal scripting in both the development and deployment of a distributed system.
