Conclusion
With the use of relatively low cost technologies and Open Source
software it is possible to build a wireless network which is used by
the community. Technical problems do exist, but by usage of Open
Source software they can easily be solved. The process of building a
network using a loosely-coupled group of volunteers is not easy but
bringing organization in the group when the network becomes more
complex helps a lot. Having the back-up of the community and local
enterprises also helps to gain momentum and visibility of the project,
which in return speeds up the development and growth of the network.
