Session 1 - The Microsoft Corporate Rollout of NT 5.0
Curtis Cummings, Technologist, ITG Systems Integration Team, Microsoft Corporation The implementation of NT 5.0 presents a fundamental change in NT based infrastructure architecture, implementation procedures and management policies of large scale NT systems. Microsoft's Information Technology Group (ITG) has adopted an agressive implementation plan to facilitate the internal rollout of NT 5.0 which incorporates most of the key features of NT 5.0 including a new global name space based on an NT 5.0 hierarchical design. This session will explain and discuss ITG's rollout strategy, including namespace planning, incorporation of key NT 5.0 features into a global network, and migration strategies. |
