Dear potential conference attendee:

We know that many of you have been impacted by the economic downturn and, due to the recent tragedy, are reluctant to travel. To encourage your attendance at the XFree86 Technical conference, the USENIX Association is now offering FREE registrations to those wishing to attend this exceptional event.

We feel it is important to provide this forum for the XFree86 development community to explore, discuss and learn about technical issues related to the X Window System. Both ALS and the XFree86 conference provide networking opportunities and high-caliber technical content which are an important service to the general open source community and to our membership. USENIX is dedicated to sponsoring conferences that serve the needs of our members and will continue to choose the course that most benefits the community in the long term.
