Why should you stay in the headquarter hotel?
We would like to encourage you to stay in the headquarter hotel(s) and
when making your reservation remember to state that you are attending
the USENIX conference.
USENIX conferences use a lot of meeting space and rental fees can be
quite costly. As a result, USENIX always negotiates contracts that
contain guarantees that a certain number of sleeping rooms will be used
during our conferences. When those guarantees are not met, USENIX
is assessed penalties.
As a benefit to you, USENIX is able to leverage these guarantees to
negotiate discounted rates for your stay. Widespread defection from the
headquarters hotel will inevitably lead to hotels declining to book USENIX
conferences and also higher conference registration fees.
Although we try to negotiate the best possible rates, we recognize that
not everyone can afford to stay in the headquarters hotel. We always
try to choose sites that have less expensive options in the immediate
area.

Hotel
USENIX has negotiated special rates for conference attendees at the
Hyatt Sainte Claire. Please make your reservation as soon as possible
by contacting the hotel directly. You must mention USENIX or CARDIS
to get the special group rate.

Cancellation Policy: To cancel your reservation, you must notify the hotel at least 72 hours prior to your planned arrival date.
Discount Airfares
Special discounted airfares have been negotiated with United Airlines:
- 5% off any published fare on United Airlines, United Express, or Shuttle
by United.
- 10% off coach fares (BUA) when reservations are made in "M" class and
utilize the MTGUA Unique Fare Basis Code.
Make reservations through your travel agent or directly with United Airlines at
1.800.521.4041. Refer to Meeting ID Number 510CH.
Airport and Transportation
San Jose International Airport (SJC)
Located approximately 6 miles (10 kilometers) from the Hyatt Sainte Claire hotel.
Shuttles can be found in one of two areas:
Terminal A In the garage outside of baggage claim
Terminal C Outside, same side of street, just south of baggage claim
Fares range from $9 to $12 USD, per person, one-way.
A taxi from SJC to the Hyatt Sainte Claire will cost approximately $14 USD.

San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
Located approximately 35 miles (57 kilometers) from the Hyatt Sainte Claire hotel.
A taxi from SFO to the Hyatt Sainte Claire will cost approximately $120 USD.
Shuttles can be found in one of two areas:
Domestic Terminals: | Vans depart from level 2 (departures), Center Island, outside all terminals. |
International Terminal: | Vans depart from level 3 (departures), Center Island, outside the terminal. Fares range from $18 to $40 USD, per person, one-way. |

Parking
Valet parking is available at the Hyatt Sainte Claire for $15 per night, which includes in-and-out privileges. Public parking is also available in a parking garage connected to the San Jose Convention Center, just 1 block West of the hotel. The fee is $10 per night and does not include in-and-out privileges.
