Terminal Room & Wireless Network
The terminal room at the Security Symposium will feature 20 PCs running some version of UNIX, cables in a switch for your laptop, and, in prominent areas of the conference, a wireless network that will be connected to the Internet with a T1. We will also print email messages to you at the conference.

The wireless network will provide DHCP addressing for your laptop. A limited number of 11MB PCMCIA cards will be available for check-out at the registration desk. A major credit card will be embossed for your deposit. Drivers for Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, and Macintosh are available (others to follow soon). All drivers and installation instructions are available on the conference Web site. The network access points are Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS), 802.11-compliant, so if you have another brand of DSSS wireless card it should work with this network.

If you are interested in volunteering to work in the terminal room in exchange for a complimentary technical sessions registration, please send email to: mcginley@usenix.org.

Symposium Proceedings
One copy of the Proceedings is included with your technical sessions registration fee. Additional copies may be purchased at the symposium. To purchase additional copies after the symposium, see our publications order form or telephone the Executive Office at 1.510.528.8649.
