NSA Cryptologic Museum Field Trip
Friday, August 17th, 1:30pm to 6:00pm
Limited number of seats available. Sign up list will be on the message board in the registration area.

The National Cryptologic Museum is one of the few places where the curtain is parted. Here visitors can glimpse some of the dramatic moments in the history of American cryptology. The people who devoted their lives to cryptology and national defense, the machines they built, the techniques they used, and the places where they worked, are on display. For the visitor, some events in American history will take on a new meaning. For the cryptologic professional, it is an opportunity to absorb the heritage of the profession. Museum visitors are provided a brochure which addresses displays and enables them to take a self-guided tour.

Boarding begins at 1:30pm (Bus leaves at 1:45pm)
Self-Guided Tour from 2:30pm to 4:00pm
Boarding begins at to 4:00pm (Bus leaves at 4:15pm)
Bus returns to hotel around 6:00pm

Birds-of-a-Feather Sessions (BoFs)
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings
Lead or attend a BoF! Meet with your peers! Present new work! Don't miss these special activities designed to maximize the value of your time at the conference. The always-popular evening Birds-of-a-Feather sessions are very informal gatherings of persons interested in a particular topic. BoFs may be scheduled during the conference at the registration desk, or in advance by contacting the USENIX Conference Department, either by phone (1.510.528.8649) or by email (conference@usenix.org). BoFs are open to all attendees. Topics will be announced at the conference.
Work-in-Progress Session (WiPs)
Friday, August 17, 2000, 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Short, pithy, and fun, Work-in-Progress Reports introduce interesting new or ongoing work. If you have work you would like to share or a cool idea that's not quite ready for publication, submit a one- or two-paragraph summary to sec01wips@usenix.org We are particularly interested in presenting students' work. A schedule of presentations will be posted at the Symposium, and the speakers will be notified in advance. Work-in-Progress Reports are 5 minute presentations; the time limit will be strictly enforced.
