- ibuprofen or fenoprofen

Pain medication
- OTC: aspirin, acetaminophen
- Painkillers: codeine, Perkocet, hydrocodone
Notes:
NSAIDs can cause serious side effects, including anaphylaxis
aspirin should never be taken with NSAIDs
Cortisone can be administered as injections, using ultrasound (in a process known as phonophoresis) or using an electrical device (in a process known as iontophoresis).
