Whether this is your first time at LISA or your twentieth, stop by the Welcome Get-Together and Conference Orientation to learn how to get the most out of the conference. The orientation includes an overview of Baltimore, an introduction to LISA, and an opportunity to meet your peers. Refreshments and snacks provided.
Board Game Night

Join us on Sunday night for some good old-fashioned board games. Take a step back into the past and test your knowledge playing the Totally 80s edition of Trivial Pursuit. Challenge your fellow attendees to a game of Scrabble or Pictionary. Bring your own games, too!

Birds-of-a-Feather Sessions (BoFs)

Lead or attend a BoF! Meet with your peers! Present new work! Don't miss these special activities designed to maximize the value of your time at the conference. The always popular evening Birds-of-a-Feather sessions are very informal gatherings of persons interested in a particular topic. New! LISA '09 Scavenger Hunt
We're mixing things up and summoning your inner detectives this year with the new LISA Scavenger Hunt. Inside your registration packet you'll find a LISA '09 Scavenger Hunt Card with characteristics of folks who either helped to organize or are participating in LISA '09. Use your finest sleuthing skills to locate people who fit the bill, take a moment to chat with them, and ask them politely for their signatures. All you need to win are 10 signatures. Once you've got your 10, drop by the USENIX Membership Booth to spin the Prize Wheel. Prizes range from T-shirts through key chains to free conference passes and more. Don't miss out on the fun: Join in the LISA '09 Scavenger Hunt and spin to win!
Optional Field Trip to the National Cryptologic Museum
Saturday, November 7, 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Try your hand at encrypting messages and deciphering code on their Enigma cipher machine! Buses will depart the Marriott at 10:00 a.m. and return at 2:00 p.m. This trip is free; however, we recommend that you bring something for lunch as there is no cafe at the museum. Space is limited!
