USENIX Announces Immediate Free Online Access to Video Content from Its Advanced Computing Systems Conferences
Continues to Set the Standard for Open Access to Key Technical Content
Berkeley, Calif., August 1, 2011 – USENIX, the Advanced Computing Systems Association today announced that videos of its conference technical session presentations will now be available to the general public on the USENIX Web site immediately following each event. The shift in policy is aligned with the USENIX mission of fostering innovation and providing open access to research.
In addition to offering video content on the USENIX site, select videos will also be available on the USENIX YouTube Channel. USENIX also offers free online access to conference papers.
"By offering the timely availability of conference video content to the general public, it is our hope that it will expand our audience and encourage more conversation around the critical issues that USENIX brings to the fore," said Ellie Young, Executive Director, USENIX.
