Instructions for Invited Talk Speakers,
20th Large Installation System Administration Conference
(LISA '06)

December 3–8, 2006, Washington, D.C., USA

USENIX will include an electronic version of the Invited Talks on the USENIX Web site. If you wish handouts of your talk to be made available at your session, please notify Jane-Ellen Long, jel@usenix.org.

WHAT TO SUBMIT

If You'd Like Handouts for Your Talk . . .

Please send us your materials by November 20, 2006. We will photocopy either or both of:

  • Your slides, 2- or 4-up (preferred) in Powerpoint, OpenOffice, or PDF.
  • An extended abstract or paper about the topic.

Contact Jane-Ellen Long, jel@usenix.org, with any questions about electronic file formats.

Electronic Files

In order to make your talk available on the LISA CD, we will need your electronic files by November 1, 2006.

We like to offer Invited Talk materials on the USENIX Web site after the conference. Slides, HTML, and supplementary materials are all acceptable. Often it proves easiest to send or hand them to us immediately after your presentation.

HTML and PDF are preferred for the basic materials. We also take PostScript, PowerPoint, OpenOffice, compressed source files, and other formats. Please contact Jane-Ellen Long, jel@usenix.org, if you have questions about possible formats.

We can mount your files at any time. However, if you want the files to be available on the Web immediately after the conference, we will need to receive them on or before December 8, 2006. Direct your files to production@usenix.org.

URLs

If you have information online about any software or documents discussed in your talk, please include the relevant URLs in your presentation.

Thank you!
